Privacy policy

This policy explains what [Registered legal name of the company] (“Checkpost Biryani”, “we”) collects when you use this website, and what we do with it. We collect only what we need to take and deliver your order.

What we collect

• Your phone number — it is how you sign in (by a one-time code) and how we reach you about an order.
• Your name and email, if you choose to add them to your profile.
• Addresses you save, including landmarks and the map position you pick, so we can deliver and work out the delivery charge.
• Your location while you search, if you allow it, to find the nearest point. If you ask to be told when a point opens near you, we keep that search position and your phone number for that purpose.
• Your orders — what you ordered, where from, how it was paid, and any rating, comment or complaint you send.

What we don’t collect

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card number, UPI PIN and bank login go to Razorpay (and your bank) directly and never reach our servers. We receive only whether a payment succeeded, the amount and the method used.

Who we share it with

• The biryani point cooking your order sees the items, your name and your phone number.
• For a delivery, our delivery partner and its rider receive your name, phone number and delivery address.
• Razorpay, to process your payment and any refund.
• Our SMS provider, to send your sign-in code and order updates.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your account for as long as you use it, and order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Saved addresses you delete are removed from your account; a past order keeps its own copy of the address it was delivered to.

Your choices

You can edit your name, email and saved addresses from your account at any time. To have your account closed and your details deleted, write to us at the address below.
